Original period manufacture. A fine example of this very handsome old bayonet. Bright clean blade, St. Etienne arsenal markings along with an 1875 date. Polished steel guard bearing the serial number 3243, which matches the number on the scabbard throat. Pleasing, light brass patina to the ribbed grip. Fine condition blue steel finished scabbard with nearly all of the original finish remaining.
