Original period manufacture. A fine example of this very handsome old bayonet. Bright clean blade, Tulle arsenal markings along with an 1873 date. Polished steel guard bearing the serial number 42517, which matches the number on the scabbard throat. Pleasing, light brass patina to the ribbed grip. Fine condition blue steel finished scabbard with nearly all of the original finish remaining.
