Original era manufacture. This is a large weapon with a 39 inch blade with double fullers through its length. Faint markings on its spine with more clear proofs on its ricasso. Four branch brass guard with original leather wrapped grip and twisted wire binding. Number 321 stamped into the guard and steel scabbard. No denting to the scabbard body, massive sword of the era. Likely a pattern of sword used throughout the reign of Napoleon III and beyond.
