French 19th Century, Cavalry Trumpet

Original era manufacture. A wonderful old brass trumpet, measuring 19 inches in length, and complete with its blue wool center grip cloth decorated with musicians lace. Intricately wrapped around the trumpet is a set of red-white-blue wool cords with tassled ends. One of the round brass buttons on the grip cloth is missing, and the mouthpiece is bent. Of a pattern used from the Second Empire up to WWI. Normal age and wear.
