Original period manufacture. Field recovered, stamped brass diamond shaped plate measuring 95 x 115 mm across the points, hand struck mounting holes. This regiment was formed from German soldiers from the Hanseatic Cities of Hamburg and Luebeck, for service in Napoleon's Grande Armee. Their battle honors include Smolensk, Moscow & Berezina River. Comes with two pages of printed research on the history of the 127th.
