Original period manufacture. Field recovered, stamped brass diamond shaped plate measuring 95 x 115 mm across the points, hand struck mounting holes. 93rd Regiment of the Line. Raised in 1706, their colonel was killed at Moscow in 1812, another was killed at Waterloo. Comes with several pages of printed research on the history of the 93rd.
