Original era manufacture. Stamped copper or brass shako plate of the 1810 pattern. Measures 95 x 105 mm, deep green patina finish, slightly distorted from being in the ground for 200 years. A fine relic from the ill-fated invasion of Russia by Napoleon's Grande Armee, and disastrous retreat.The battle honors of the 33rd Regiment in 1812 include; Smolensk, Moscow, Krasnoe, Beresina and Wina.
