Original era manufacture. Stamped copper or brass shako plate of the 1810 pattern. Measures 95 x 105 mm, deep green patina finish, slightly distorted from being in the ground for 200 years. A fine relic from the ill-fated invasion of Russia by Napoleon's Grande Armee, and disastrous retreat in the winter of 1812-13.The battle honors of the 127th regiment include; Smolensk 1812, Moscow 1812, Beresina 1812 and Paris 1814.
