Original era manufacture. German made French Briquet with it's original scabbard. Polished steel curved blade measuring 23 inches in length, sound condition, showing normal age and wear, with scattered age staining to the surface, no real corrosion issues. Clear markings on the spine to include Klingenthal manufacture and an 1816 date. Cast brass grip with numerous markings. Sound black leather scabbard with a white buff leather frog and small steel ball tip. A very sound example of a 200 year old sword. Be careful when handling this as the cutting edge is very sharp, particularly near the poing.
