Original era manufacture. A large format stamped brass helmet plate with a screwpost attachment on its reverse. The design displays a fighting cock standing upon a spray of laurel and oak leaves, central boss is cut-out and displays the number five. Measures 5.75x5 inches. There is a pinhole in the neck of the bird from where it was once mounted in a display.
