French M1855/83 Infantry Officers Sword & Knot

Original period manufacture. A very nice sword featuring a chrome plated 33 inch straight blade with a quill back spine. The unmarked blade is in beautiful condition, no issue at all. Green felt bumper at the base of the blade, gilded brass four branch guard decorated with a floral design, black plastic wrapped grip bound with triple strand wire. Beautiful black cloth knot strap with a gold fringed and slide. The scabbard is dent free and also has a chrome finish, with a single ring suspension. The scabbard finish has a few spots of darkening but it is very clean regardless.
