Original era manufacture. A solid example of this great looking old bayonet. Normal age and wear with no issues. Matching serial number guard to scabbard, 98020, that feature itself makes this a bit unusual in today's collecting world. Blade date 1876, St. Etienne arsenal. The blade is clean, patina finish to the guard and pommel, crack in the right side grip plate, brass patina finish to the pommel, mix of blue and scattered surface corrosion freckling to the near dent-free scabbard. Cheap.
