Original era manufacture. Chromed steel blade measuring 32 inches in length, runs fairly straight and true with a slight bend up near the point. There is some light, cleanable surface corrosion on the surface, more of a light stain. Script type makers information on the ricasso, Chatellerault 1898.Nickel finished three branch guard with the topmost branch being bent downwards, the quillon is also bent down towards the edge of the blade. Horn grip bound with triple strand wire.Near dent free chrome finished steel scabbard with near 100% of the finish remaining, just a small amount of lifting to the plating above the drag.
