Original era manufacture. Nice quality hat with a dark black wool covered body,  red wool crown with three rows of gold wire rank trim and a thin gold wire brocade chinstrap, with side buttons displaying the bursting bomb emblem.Leather bound black leather visor, brown leather sweatband with a brown silk interior and gilt Paris makers label. There is some minor scattered mothing in the red wool, but none in the black that I could see. It is not crushed or broken and displays quite well.
