Original era manufacture. Eight point, silver faceted star suspended from an ornate silver crown. Red enamel oval ring at center which is outlined with a gold band, and an ornate gold central design. Orange and white, French silk ribbon.Thesilver portions of the medal exhibit a pleasing patina, repaired enamel damage to the red ring.Instituted in 1864, and presented to French officers who distinguished themselves during service in Cambodia. Abolished in 1948. Measures 65 x 47 mm.
