Original era manufacture. A very clean example of the classic French bayonet of WWI. This example has a rather dramatic bullet, or shrapnel strike on the scabbard body, which penetrates to the blade with similar damage, and prevents the blade from being drawn. Nice brass patina finish to the grip, and a very sound original brown leather frog, which cannot be removed due to the scabbard battle damage, telling us that this set has been together for the past 100 years.
