Original era manufacture. This is one of the best examples of WWI Trench Art in our recent collection purchase. Standard French 7.5 casing with a nicely worked top, carefully down decoration of a German soldier firing his MG08/15 with an Iron Cross above. Two raised panels below the bipod state Souvenir of France. Nice dark brass patina finish. There is some stress fracturing in the body but nothing severe.
