Original period manufacture. Classic French Infantry helmet of the Great War 1914-1918. Matt, dark Horizon Blue painted finish with the Infantry bursting bomb emblem at front.There is some scattered surface corrosion but nothing terrible, and it is worth mentioning that the helmet has not been overly cleaned or waxed, presenting a nice old patina. The helmet is complete with its original liner and chinstrap, both are quite supple, with one end of the chinstrap being snapped. It still displays quite well and would be an easy repair.
