Original period manufacture. French Infantry helmet of the Great War 1914-1918. Original exterior finish with the Infantry bursting bomb emblem at front and a brass veterans plate attached to the front visor. Original paint finish exhibiting a dark patina finish, complete liner and chinstrap. The leather liner and chinstrap show evidence of an old leather dressing application but is not greasy to the touch.
