Original era manufacture. Nice quality hat with a dark black wool covered body,  red wool crown with three rows of gold wire rank trim and a thin gold wire brocade chinstrap. Plain brass side buttons, nice Paris makers label in the lining, wide black leather sweatband. The hat is about a size 58, and is in very sound condition.
