Original era manufacture. Fine quality, quite tall officers kepi in the rank of Captain I believe. Red wool top with a dark blue wool cap band. Gold wire decoration around the body of the hat, up the four sides, around the top edge with a quatrefoil at top.Black patent leather visor with a bound edge, simple silver brocade chinstrap secured by two brass buttons.The sweatband is missing, however the black silk lining remains. Scattered mothing and staining to the wool body, however the hat presents very well.
