Ferdinand Foch (1851-1929) was a key French military commander during World War I. He joined the infantry during the Franco-Prussian War, eventually becoming head of the war college. Named commander of the XX Army Corps at the outbreak of World War I, Foch helped secure victory at the First Battle of the Marne. Badge measures 32 mm.
