Original era manufacture. A fine quality bronze plaque by Max Blondet (1872-1926), measuring 40 x 70 mm. Double sided, with the obverse portraying a grieving French soldier writing a letter. The reverse gives details regarding the relief of French prisoners of war.The artists name appears on the lower left corner, marked bronze on the edge.
