Original era manufacture. A French 75mm shell casing, dated on the base, 7-18. It stands at present, 11 inches in height, with a flared opening, which is pierced for decoration. The body is expertly engraved with a floral decoration, along with the words; "France, World War, Verdun, St. Nazaire" with the year dates of 1914-1918.The metal finish presents a very dark brass patina, with one very shallow dent that is more felt than seen. A very nice piece of First World War art.
