Original era manufacture. Nice grouping of 40 odd black and white French Army Signal Service produced photographs of WWI frontline trench scenes. Over twenty of the lot are larger format, 5x7 inch images, each with an officialFrench army stamp on the reverse and a penciled commentary in English on the photo's content. The remnants of an old sales envelope comes with the set with a notation of the collection's purchase in France in 1918. Edges are slightly curled but should straighten out easily.
