Original era manufacture. Classic all leather, large pattern shako introduced for service in 1860, and worn without change until 1895.This example displays an inkstamped date inside the crown which looks to be 1872, but the last digit is blurred so really can't be sure.Silver alloy Garde star at front, heavy leather adjustable chinstrap in good repair, and anoriginal cloth covered wooden field badge in the Prussian colors of black and white. Large size too, no issues to report beyond normal age and wear. From our own collection.
