Original era manufacture. Awarded to those Prussian troops who along with their Austrian Allies fought against Denmark in 1864. Two years later this alliance dissolved and the Prussians decisively defeated the Hapsburg empire at the Battle of Koniggratz in June of 1866. These are the two first wars of German unification, the final war came in 1870 against Napoleon III. Clean original medal with some brass staining on its obverse, strong detail with a length of original ribbon.
