Original era manufacture. This is an interesting medal, produced in the form of the Prussian Iron Cross 2nd Class, same size, same ribbon type, but single sided. Perhapsstruck to honor the 22nd Bavarian Infantry Regiment. It is not dated, so it may have been produced to recognize the awarding of the honorific title "Furst Wilhelm von Hohenzollern" after the Franco-German War of 1870-71. Normal Age & Wear
