Original era manufacture. A scarce example of an S84/98 pattern bayonet produced during the Reichswehr era, with this particular bayonet showing a (19)27 date on the blade spine. Made by Weyersburg, with a W.u.K. proof on the ricasso. Clean blue finished steel blade with no issues, sharp point. Blue finish to the guard and pommel, lock button operates as it should. Original finish wooden grips displaying normal age and wear. Unit marked on the guard 11/J.P.119. Non-matching, 1939 dated correct pattern scabbard maker marked by Rich.A.Herder. Satin blue finish, with a single small dent on the reverse.
