Original era manufacture. Wooden assault boat in German WWII camouflage with five composition figures, two oarsmen, two seated soldiers and a kneeling soldier looking at a map. Interestingly these figures depict American troops, with the torsos of the soldiers wearing German WWII equipment painted in G.I. colors with the helmets modified to look like American ones. The two seated soldiers have GERMANY stamped in ink on their bottoms, the kneeling soldier reading a map is clearly marked ELASTOLIN GERMANY, the two oarsmen are unmarked but likely were inkstamped back in the day. I believe these were produced in the 1950's when Germany was recovering from the aftermath of WWII under the Marshall Plan. Elastolin simply reused the old WWII molds and produced new heads. The paint looks to be original and the soldiers and boat are in sound condition. The assault boat measures 6.5 inches in length.
