German 19th Century Fire Helmet

Original era manufacture. Decent little molded leather bodied helmet with a brass comb at top. At some point someone plundered its city plate or badge from its front. Two piece, front-rear aluminum visor with brass edging. There is a maroon oilcloth covering which hides the visor stitching, some of which has come undone. Two brass lionhead bosses, one on each side serve to hold the leather chinstrap in place. Decent restoration project.
