Original era manufacture. A scaled-down version of the 1811 pattern enlisted Blucher sword but with a etched floral design on each side of the 32 inch blade. The blade shows a slight swell near the tip, measures 33mm in width at the ricasso. The blade is fairly straight with a slight bend to the left around the center of the blade, nothing dramatic, few nail catcher nicks in the cutting edge. On the obverse of the blade is a small panel displaying the engraved name H&B Boker and on the reverse a similar panel with what looks to be the name Remscheid. Dark steel patina P-guard with langets, black leather wrapped grip with twisted copper wire binding. Portions of the leather wrapping are worn away exposing the cording and wood grip body beneath. Simple sheet steel scabbard with two carrying rings and a simple cap drag. The initials W.H.B. are stamped into the top of the guard. Dark steel patina overall. Thanks Dale..
