Original era manufacture. Based on the 1889 German Infantry officers sword, is this export model with an Imperial Chinese dragon on the guard.Chromed steel blade measuring 32.5 inches in length, running straight and true, with double fullers on each side. E&F Horster Solingen logo on the ricasso. Very clean with no corrosion issues, or blade nicks.White buff leather bumper at the base of the blade, mellow brass patina finish to the guard, fishskin wrapped grip bound with triple strand wire; fragments of the original leather finger loop remain.Nickel finished double suspension ring scabbard which is dent free. Overall a very clean example of an unusual sword.
