Original era manufacture. Black imitation silk tally measuring 40 inches in length. Gold wire embroidery, Schulschiff Albert Leo Schlageter. Numerous nicks and small tears in the fabric, the embroidery is fine. A Gorch-Fock class barque, laid down in 1937 and commissioned in 1938. Postwar she was assigned to the United States as war reparations, in 1948 sold to the Brazilian Navy, and to the Portuguese Navy in 1961, where she still serves as a training ship.
