German, Early 19th Century Horseman's Sword

Original era manufacture. Polished steel, 32 inch curved blade, which is decorated on each side with assorted floral designs. The blade runs fairly straight for an old sword like this, and the surface presents an even steel patina, with a few shallow nicks in its edge.All steel guard and pommel with a langet on each side. Leather covered wood grip with a ribbed body, some leather loss to the grip covering on one side below the pommel.
