German, Early 19th Century Hunting Sword

Original era manufacture. 15 inch, polished steel blade with a central ridge on both sides. There are engraved decorations on both sides of the lower third of the blade, but most of the detail has been worn away. Stag horn grip with a steel, T-shaped collar with stag horn guard. Flat steel pommel plate which swivels now from age. The steel mounted, black leather bodied scabbard shows scuffing and discoloration from age but remains quite sound. My guess that this dates well before 1850.
