Original period photography. Prince Heinrich of Hesse, 1838-1900. Commanded the 2nd Garde Ulan Regiment during the Franco-Prussian War, and awarded the Iron Cross 2nd Class. He was awarded the Pour le Merite in 1888. Berling photographers logo on the reverse.
