Original era manufacture. This is a wonderful looking old set that has been together for many, many years. 1870-1871 Combatants medal marked on the rim in German (made from captured cannon). It is mounted to its original ribbon, now tattered and torn from age and wear. Mounted to the top of the suspension plate is a Prussian Landwehr Long Service Badge 2nd Class. No doubt this pair were worn with pride for many years by this Franco-Prussian War Veteran.
