Sepia image of a seated senior officer, decorated with the Pour le Merite and the Iron Cross 2nd Class worn on a Non-Combatant ribbon, a Johanniter cross can be seen on his left, Red Cross Armband on this left arm. Handwritten inscription on the reverse with the dates 1870-71. Paris photographers name.
