Original era photography. Sepia tone, slightly smaller than normal CDV size image of a German soldier of the Franco Prussian War in full marching order.The mount measures 50x90 mm, with a black border, no photographers backmark. The soldier is shown in full marching order, with white belt and knapsack straps indicating his service with the grenadier battalions of his regiment. On the table next to him sits his M1860 Prussian Infantry model Pickelhaube, in his left hand he holds a pipe, and in his right, a M1862 Needle Gun with fixed bayonet.
