Original era manufacture. Issue sword with unit markings, 13.A.F.H.M.4.15 stamped on both the guard and scabbard throat. 13th Handwerker Abteilung des Fuss Artillerie, 4 company, 15th weapon. Polished steel blade by Weyersberg measuring 34 inches in length, with a Crown W 71 stamped into the spine. The blade is clean and runs straight and true. Evidence of an old cleaning along it's length with minor pitting. Steel basket guard with a leather wrapped grip. Darkened steel patina steel scabbard with minor scattered denting from service use. The leather finger loop is a replacement.
