Original era manufacture. A sound example of the pattern 1864 Faschinenmesser, with issue marks on the spine of a Crown W 68, and unit markings on the guard 94.R.10.121, The blade is bright, showing scattered spots of cleaned surface corrosion and light pitting. Two piece cast brass grip, with a nice old patina finish.Sound, black leather bodied scabbard with tight stitching, however missing the brass throat and chape.
