Original era manufacture. Polished steel 19 inch blade with a Saxon royal cypher on the ricasso. Two piece cast brass guard and hilt with unit markings, 107 R 1 204 (Royal Saxon 8th Infantry Regiment, Prinz Johann-Georg Nr. 107, 1st Company, 204th Weapon). Sound black leather bodied scabbard with brass fittings. Matching unit markings on the scabbard throat.
