Original era manufacture. A leather covered, glass bodied canteen with a cork stopper and an alloy cap. Full length original leather shoulder strap, with a thin leather strap attached to the cap to prevent against loss. See page 142, Volume I, The German Infantry from 1870-1914 by Herr & Nguyen for a similar example. Normal age and wear, no damage.
