Original era manufacture. A very scarce, and unit marked leather ammunition pouch, as used with the Zundnadelgewehr, or Needle Gun, by the Prussian Army up through the Franco-Prussian War 1870-71. This is a right-side pouch, with unit markings on its reverse for Pioneer Battalion 2, and date 1867. The leather is sound, stitching is tight, and overall quite presentable for its near 150 year age.
