Original era manufacture. Scarce, Franco-Prussian War era ammunition pouch for the famous Zundnadelgewehr, or Needle Gun, introduced in 1841. Black leather pouch with white buff leather straps indicating issue to soldiers in Grenadier regiments, Fusiliers used black leather straps. Identity tag on the reverse for Musketier Wienecke. Quite sound for its age, normal wear and use.
