Original period manufacture. Very sound example of a pouch used during the Franco-Prussian War, 1870-71. Clear unit and date markings on the reverse, black suspension straps indicating a Fusilier battalion. Very sound condition. Looks like there was a decorative emblem mounted on the flap at one time, not distracting.
