Original era  manufacture. Printed cotton, measuring 27 x 26 inches. The field displays the image of the Crown Prince at center, which is surrounded by panels of battle scenes from the war with France, 1870-1871. It is very clean with no issues, save for a tiny tear in the upper left corner.Crown Prince Friedrich Wilhelm of Prussia, was the oldest son of King, later Kaiser, Wilhelm, and grandson of Queen Victoria. He commanded the German 3rd Army during the Franco-Prussian War, and oversaw the Siege of Paris. He died in 1888, after a reign of only three months.    From our own collection.
