Original era manufacture. An issue, 1870-71 Campaign medal which is marked in German on its edge, made from captured cannon, and, the Hohenzollern centennial medal, honoring the birth of Kaiser Wilhelm I.The 1870-71 medal displays the clasps for Villiers (November 30th 1870) and Paris. The Villiers clasp was awarded for the defense against a determined French attack from the besieged city of Paris, against fixed positions manned by troops from Wurttemberg. The Paris clasp for participating in the siege of that great city during 1870-71.The pair exhibit normal age and wear with a very nice patina.
