Original era manufacture.Silver trim with brass chinscales, and a removable spike top in order to add a parade plume & trichter. The helmet body is sound, stitching tight on the rear neckguard and a little loose on the front.No extra holes behind the wappen, and the interior has a neat old identifying tag in place for a One Year Volunteer. At some point in time the wappen has lost the center emblem, single kokard in the colors of Prussian on the right side. The flat scale chinstraps show age and wear, and are secured to the helmet by incorrect mounting posts. An attractive helmet to enjoy as is, or a good basis for a restoration.
